By scheduling LIFX Clean to activate its Clean Cycle in the hours that you’re not using it as a standard smart light, HEV lighting will switch on to eliminate harmful bacteria* on surfaces and objects in your home. Where to use

Close range: Everyday objects like your phone & keys, tv remote, or even toothbrush and sponges can gather lots of bacteria. Place them underneath a lamp with LIFX Clean to disinfect the surfaces of your most used items.  

Mid-range: Use the bulbs as part of the light fixture in your bathroom or in a pendant lamp above your kitchen counter to help prevent bacterial build up on key surfaces.  

While not using HEV light, LIFX Clean can help create the perfect lighting at home, just like our other color smart lights.

What is HEV Light?

High Energy Visible Light (HEV) is high-frequency, high-energy light in the violet/blue band from 400 to 450 nm in the visible spectrum.

This type of light appears blue to the eye. In a smart lighting world-first, by using 405 nanometre HEV light that is safe for humans, pets and plants, LIFX Clean offers an effortless way to maximise the cleanliness of home environments.
